May be a stupid question.. but my STBXW was working salaried with benefits (pension, medical/dental) but recently moved to a contract (on call) position in same company. it is non benefited. She now makes $25 more an hour. She will be on call.. so while her gross income will ultimately be more than it was on salary, she doesn't have the pension/medical benefits. Does that make it better for me in terms of how much alimony I would pay, now that she'll likely make more per year gross? Or are medical benefits, pension, etc factored in to the equation?

My hunch tells me gross income is the only thing that matters and her making more, gross.. should benefit me in not having to pay as much in alimony. I hope.
