Design your life and get to work. Between the daily simp posts and the move your money offshore comments, it may be difficult to see a way out of your particular nightmare.
Four years after frantically typing in divorce for men, I find myself in a place that is so wonderful, I feel obligated and eager to share my findings.
You’re not going to hammer out your divorce agreement today (unless you and your ex are meeting with a skilled mediator right now), and that’s ok.
I had the means to consult with a dozen family lawyers. Along with a lot of prayer, I developed a strategy that worked beyond my wildest dreams. The overall plan was simple but difficult. I think it will work for anybody.
Resolving my problem began when I called my dad and told him some horrible news; my beloved wife and mother of my young child has been having an affair. It seemed like it was the end of the world. I didn’t know then that I would want to write thank you notes to both her and ‘Frank’ years later.
I don’t earn much more than I did then. Somehow I live in a much larger house. Nobody tells me to do chores. I have a house cleaner once a month. Im not wealthy, but I have more than I need. I’m obsessed with a sport I was never interested in, and it brings me great joy. My time with my child is so rich and wonderful I can’t even believe it.
How did I make it happen? I developed a divorce team. The accountant who was already doing my taxes; the dozen lawyers I called on paid and free consults; a qualified and wise psychologist (after the first 2 didn’t pan out); this very forum; and people in real life who were telling the same stories we read on here.
In other words, while you are recovering from the shock of your situation, surround yourself with all the knowledge and wisdom you possibly can.
For whomever needs a new idea tonight, I prayed for wisdom, strength, and understanding. It worked.
