My brother and his wife had an ugly breakup last year and it ended with her getting a protective order against him and filing for divorce. She also called CPS and coached their 4 children (ages 7, 9, 11, 13 at the time) to lie to CPS that he physically and sexually abused them. This happened last year and CPS has been investigating. Since then they actually got back together and she dropped the protective order and divorce against him and they moved back in together for the sake of their kids. Fast forward now, police is pressing felony child abuse charges on him based on the statements the children made last year. How is this possible? How can he possibly get out of this mess? He consulted with a lawyer and the lawyer suggested it would help if she gave a statement saying she coached the kids. However, wouldn’t that get her into trouble? They have a rocky relationship and I am not sure if she will even do that. Also, my brother has video recordings of her physically abusing the children in a fit of rage (punching etc). He has hidden cameras in the house. However, the kids are totally under her control and will do whatever she asks them to. For anyone with any insight or suggestions, please do share.
