So guys I, 32M Christian, and my bride 33F Christian, have been married 5 yrs going on 6 but together a total of 8 yrs. We didnt wait to have sex. I will never not love her but I am miserable living with her as spouse and at the point where I’m willing to call it. Unfortunately, this year she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast’s cancer and my dad died in October. We’ve had many happy moments, built a church community we consider friend outside of church and all that good stuff. However, there have been grueling or super stressful seasons that seem to outweigh the good, she has also ADHD which was diagnosed in her 30s which explains a lot of our dysfunction, I don’t feel emotionally safe, sex has been a constant struggle since marriage, I feel like a parentified spouse, I feel behind, finances are a constant struggle, and I feel and know I’m capable of more. I’m so tired , exhausted, and I am no longer as jovial or recognizable as my former self. I feel like I’m growing up but in a jaded, unhappy, stressed, way.

I feel the courage coming to ask for divorce in our couples therapy session coming up BUT I also feel like crap since she is literally beating cancer because God is good yo!

Help! Divorce would mean no now I’m laws, church community would be different, and a whole lot would change. Tbh if our life stayed exactly how it is for another 5 years I would be losing my mind and more unhappy.
