If it is any consolation to you, they are worth about 25% or less of the original value when you bought it if you want to sell it. Not really much point in making a big deal of it, you won't recoup much if any of the money spent on it.

Not happening, get over it. These are deemed gifts that you have no right to. If you’re willing to give something away, you might be able to negotiate for it. Not recommended.
