TL; DR: I am building software products to help men. I need your help to make sure I’m building the right thing. I will appreciate it if you reach out to me.

Dear brothers,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Ali. I am not a lawyer, I am not a therapist, and I’m not a coach. I am a software engineer who is recognizing the struggles men face in the Western countries. I want to use my expertise building software products to address some of them; without charging exorbitant hourly rates. To start with the most acute area, I am focusing on the divorce and the challenges it poses to men.

This is not an advertisement nor a sales pitch. I have nothing to sell yet. I need your help to make sure I am building the right solutions. I need to talk to you, listen to your stories, and better understand the problems I’m trying to solve; and hopefully earn your trust in the process.

If this is a cause that you care about, feel free to reach out to me. Either through Reddit chat or by visiting our landing page (thrivemen.net) for more info. This will help me to reach out to you, schedule video calls, or buy you a cup of coffee if you are in/around Austin, TX.

PS:Speaking of my motivations, as a man, I see the struggles men face. Two of my cousins got divorced and I saw the devastation they went through. On the other hand, I don’t find any meaning in my job in the big tech. I want to use my expertise building software products to do what I see necessary. However, I have to be honest—I do have a vision to build my products to sell. Making money -or failing to do so- will test if I am building something valuable. There is also a risk that I should address: by diverging from the dominant narrative,I may get canceled and become unhirable. Still, I really want to try this path because I find meaning in this work; because I care.
