This week or next. Our marriage after 17 years is done. One child, 14 year old boy. Me, 49 M, her 53 F. It got bad a long time ago and I always hoped it would get better. Nope. Worse. We finally had a blow out that was enough. Her family has all had multiple divorces, mine none. Son is my biggest concern, keeping him with his friends. But we live in an expensive area. Attorney is on retainer, we’re serving soon. What’s next? I literally have NOTHING! She has savings, 401k, lots of stuff, I’ve been paying utilities and groceries. I know what I’m entitled to, but what next? I’m not going to bad-mouth her in any way to anyone, but what next?
