think of it as do you want mommy to have different men in your kids' house? can you get it in writing it pertains to both parties?

This should be a given in newly divorced. Those kids are adjusting to two homes, going back and forth, etc Do your dating on days they are with other parent in the first year to let them adjust

Lawyers don’t work for free. That is why they bail. Clauses in a decree like the one you mention aren’t enforceable.

Why do you need to have your current girlfriend meet your kid? Is this the cross you’re going to die on? Your kid has no desire to have a new mom, to interact with her I promise. Your kid just needs you, and only wants to see you.

Oh, and since you asked for recommendations to compromise- (sorry got distracted because I’m angry for you lol) what my ex and I did, in mediation too, was agreed that ‘no alcohol was to be consumed in the presence of the child’. THAT was reasonable, considering her history of neglecting our child because of her alcohol abuse. You could try something like that, if she claims your girlfriend has some sort of drug or alcohol problem. If she just claims you just have bad judgment or something- again, insist on the specifics and address them. You can’t just be forever held to some ridiculous restriction. And when she can’t point out the specifics, because they don’t exist, maybe she’ll come to her senses.

Your kids shouldn’t be meeting your partners, anyways. They seriously don’t need to be pulled into your drama.

It's mediation, if it's already in the court order just position for clear removal but have a backup spot of 6 months dating before introduction. It's unreasonable to have an indefinite restriction of SO introduction. Unless they can prove there is a danger it's just them being controlling.

Man you need to stand your ground on this one. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Assuming she has no good reason, like evidence of you putting your child in a dangerous situation, or you or your girlfriend are drug abusers or something, she doesn’t have a leg to stand on if it went to court. She’s just pissed and manipulative. One more way to ‘get at you’. Presumably because there’s no other legitimate way. Do not agree with her on any sort of limit to that. You are not guilty until proven innocent. And I seriously doubt any judge is going to entertain that with no evidence to support it. They’d probably reprimand her!
