Looking for advice from those that run your own businesses. What should I know/do/not do regarding finances relative to support in the future? Details below...

She filed yesterday and we have a 60-day waiting period per state law (IN). Splitting should be fairly amicable but we have 3 kids to consider (8-16yo). I'm currently unemployed and on disability. When I go back to work, likely this year, I will probably be running my own business due to more income and flexibility in time/location. That said, what should I know about support calculation relative to self-employment? I'm particularly interested in understanding how variability in revenue plays into support levels, whether calculation of income is tied to revenue/profit/distributions, how a company-sponsored retirement plan is considered, etc. For a lot of reasons, I want to keep as much in the name of the company as possible but I don't want the court coming down on me for trying to hide income, etc. I just want to do things above board, in a fair way, and as beneficial to me and my children as possible. Any help is appreciated!
