Going to give some backstory first. Been separated completely for over two months now. Papers filed already and response has been received. It’s been clear for a while now that it’s not going to work out nor would I ever want her back in my life. No cheating or anything like that (that I know of) but we just aren’t good together and she’s very controlling on everything I do. Not a healthy relationship. We have a daughter who is now 9 months and it’s pretty obvious that I will get 50/50 split parenting with my STBXW. I will be keeping the house. We have been married almost 4 years.

I am now 25 years young (yeah I got married at 21) and am looking to get back into at least a social scene or something. Not looking to jump right into a relationship but wanting to meet new people and who knows.... it could be someone I end up with later. The main thing I worry about is other people that know me/STBXW will see my profile and either run to her and say shit about me being in apps already which will make her start acting even worse towards me. We both went to the same high school 3 years apart but didn’t really know each other until after graduating. So we have a pretty big amount of mutual friends or people that we both knew before getting married. Not sure what the stigma is or even how many people publicly know that this is even going down. She has yet to change her last name on social media. I’m pretty much over her but still upset at the situation mostly for my daughter having to deal with this as she is innocent. I’m a pretty social person and COVID is annoying the hell out of me so not many public gatherings and I feel the only way to meet people at the moment is with dating apps. Is this too soon for me to put myself out there online? Does anyone have experience with quickly getting back into the social scene and pros/cons and pitfalls to avoid?
