IF the stipulated time expired then you currently don't have a PC. You don't need a lawyer for this if the motion she filed is just to continue on with the PC.

Respond with the facts. It's been 2 years post divorce, the PC wasn't being utilized and is unnecessary. If she wants to continue to use one, say you'll stipulate to if if she bears 100% of the costs of it. That will generally back them off.

If she’s paying for it, let it go.

Just because you guys are getting along now does not mean you will in the future.

My husband and his ex have periods of months and years with nothing serious and then big things come up seemingly out of nowhere.

Especially as kids transition from one school to the next, through developmental stages, and if anything changes in either parents life (new partner new job illness etc)

It’s easy to get along when things are going smoothly, but you never know when you are going to hit a bump in the road.
