You Need a lawyer!

In my divorce, my exwife fought me because she only wanted me to have visitation only because she wanted to be a SAHM, and wanted maximum CS $'s and alimony.

And family court can be very mother-centric. "The mother can do no wrong."

But my "ace in the hole" was her recent conviction for "DUI with kids in the car" when she was driving high as a kite and plowed into the back of a truck. She had $7500 in DUI fines plus jail time.

And with all of that? I got 50/50 custody. And the judge told her to get a job and gave her $0 alimony.

Do you think that if I had a conviction for "DUI with kids in the car"? Do you think I would have gotten 50/50 custody? Hell no. I would have gotten supervised visitation only.
