My visitation time for the summer is getting closer. As usual, the planning between my ex and I is a mess. Per our agreement signed by the court my time with my daughter starts on June 1st all the way tru August before the start of school. I’d have to travel 8hrs plus to pick her up, since I’m moving also states. My EX has a “family” event on June 1st also and wants for my daughter to be there. I proposed to her to keep my daughter on the 1st so she can attend the event, but she has to meet me half way on the 3rd so I can pick my daughter up. Her response, “ you’re being ridiculous, I’m not wasting a whole day driving and away from all my family”. I mentioned she has done longer drives and it seems fair seems she gets to have my daughter for the event and I in exchange get to meet her halfway. “Yes I have done longer drives for my family, not for you” ….

Am I being ridiculous here? Or unreasonable? I got called a narcissist and threatened to go to court, since there’s a clause in our agreement for “especial events” which only mentions weddings, birthdays and family reunions. Which I’m not scared to go to court as I firmly believe my time with her will stand first over her “family event” since it conflicts with my time.
