Like the title says, she’s moving out EOW, she signed a new place, and has slowly been moving everything out.
I’m tired, I’m letting myself grief, and keeping myself busy, but god do the weekends and nights suck, I haven’t sleep alone for 7 years.
I tried so hard to make it work for 8 years, and the time I wavered and shared negative feelings about our relationship, she didn’t fight for it. And now she’s leaving, and I’m losing half of the time with my kid. I don’t want to be there seeing her clean out our home of herself. (Mostly, she still picked most of the furniture, and little things around the house). I worked so hard to provide and take care of her.
And I can’t stop thinking about how will she do, and wanting to take care of her? How do you kill the caretaker/provider feelings? I’ve tried so hard to be decisive and not provide where it’s not my responsibility anymore, but my first instinct is to care.
