My marriage has reached the end of its rope. The ball is already in motion with the courts. Like many of you before me I have been blindsided. “Haven’t been happy in a while.” Not two months ago she mentioned she was thinking about having another baby with me. Looking forward to moving to Florida. We went back to Connecticut for Christmas. I had to come back two weeks earlier and later return to help bring back her and my son. I noticed she seemed more checked out. We have had our fair share of arguments. Even the day we were driving to the airport to come home. After that I noticed she was no longer responding when I told her I loved her. Things eventually blew up and she said she didn’t know if she loved me anymore. Separated a few days because of the stress and asked again. She said she didn’t love me. Hasn’t been happy for a long time. She has valid reasons as we have been on the verge before. This time was different. She says she had alone time when I was back home and was happy. Like she tasted freedom is what I feel she meant. What is crushing me is that our plans for Florida got thrown out and now all of the sudden she wanted to move back to Connecticut. We used to live there. She has been extremely unhappy in Texas (reason for going to Florida). Maybe I’m paranoid but I suspect something is up. I may be entirely wrong. But I started to think back on red flags. I can’t prove there is someone else. But at the end of our attempts to communicate she was set “her way or no way” on getting divorced and taking our son there. Practically leaving me high and dry. Fortunately we filled here in Texas. The kicker is she asked me to watch our son for the weekend so she could go look at apartments. We had another argument a few days before that prompted her to take my son on this trip. Thankfully she has to come back to settle things here. I hate the feeling there is another guy. Would have had to meet fairly quickly..or maybe not? The lack of closure on that is what hits me the hardest. Maybe she just finally got fed up. Sorry for the lengthy post. I am already plotting my future and my future with my son. Sucky situation.
