Tomorrow is our temporary custody hearing, and I honestly don’t know what to feel. I’m anxious, scared, hopeful, and exhausted all at the same time.
My wife filed for divorce a few months ago, and since then I’ve been fighting for equal time with my two young daughters. They’ve become my entire focus. I’ve spent countless hours gathering documents, working with my attorney, and asking friends to write affidavits. It feels like months of preparation have led to tomorrow.
I know this hearing is only temporary, but it still feels like so much is riding on it. My biggest fear isn’t losing an argument—it’s losing precious time with my girls.
For those of you who have been through a temporary custody hearing, what was it like? Did the anticipation end up being worse than the hearing itself? Any advice for staying calm and focused would really mean a lot.
Thanks for listening. I could use some encouragement today.
