I have plenty of time to prepare, so I’d like suggestions of what to think about or how to bolster my case.

I have a well paid full time job that has very flexible hours but I do travel occasionally. I’ve been keeping a calendar that shows how often I’m gone and it’s about a week to 10 days per month, with very rare longer periods. So 90% of the time I’m taking the kids to/from school, doing homework, cooking dinner, taking em to sportsball practice, Dentist, etc. I have all of this clearly laid out for the last school year.

She works a few days/week and will have to work full time 8-6 M-F, medical professional type stuff after the split.

I want the house and the kids to be with me except when I have to travel, and am willing to let her have them evenings after school, weekends, etc up to 50% of the time. I think I have a good case as letting her have the house would have the kids coming home to an empty house or going to an after school program. Makes no sense.

Realize I may have to buy her out of the house. Can do. Realize there are various custody schemes that my plan may have to conform to.

Anything else I need to think about? Does this sound realistic or am I being optimistic?
