Yeah, happened to me too.

At our divorce trial, my ex wife tried the "I'm too sick to work" tactic and demanded 50% of my take home pay in alimony. Judge said "no!" and gave her $0 alimony. She tried to get full custody and visitation only for me. Judge said "no!" and gave us 50/50 custody.

18 months post divorce, she was broke and not working and needed money to pay her criminal restitution order from her DUI jail time (In AZ they make you pay for being in jail).

So did she get a job? Hell to the no! She filed new child support paperwork putting her income down as $0 and trying to quadruple her CS order. Judge said "no!"

if you’re going back to court anyway, I would go after more custody/decision making.

I had a sales rep with an ex that kept hauling his ass in to court trying to jigger the terms. He finally had enough and hired a bulldog of a female lawyer. The female lawyer went bezerk on the ex - went after full custody, reduced cs, and termination of alimony.

They settled on keeping things the way they were if the ex paid his new lawyers legal fees. Never heard from his ex again regarding cs and didnt have anymore issues getting the kids when he was supposed to.

Find your own bulldog and go after her. She'll go away if she's facing the prospect of losing what she has.

Lucky you're in AZ. In CA the ex would have cleaned you out.
