Have any of you ever reached the point in your marriage where your wife says “yes,but” when responding to your comment on a regular basis. It’s ridiculous how much stuff like that bothers me. And I get the “always” and “never” too. If you leave this kind of marriage, be honest, how much relief do you get. I’m considering leaving her because the nit picking, dismissing and disrespect is out of control. I haven’t loved her for years because of it and I am simply there so provide consistency and low conflict to the children’s lives. My wife will literally find some convoluted explanation of a situation to somehow link it back to me as if she neeeds to blame it on me somehow.

Leaving a marriage is obviously hard, but is there peace on the other side even tho she’ll financially ruin me in a divorce.
