Sheβs right. Let people be themselves and donβt expect the man to have to do everything.Β

Lol, patriarchy promotes that men shouls do everything, yet people on this sub are supporting it. You are digging your own grave here, so stop complaining... π€·ββοΈ

Ok let me assume your point that a structural patriarchy, based in laws, exists in todays First world countries (and many second world countries) in anyway that isnt just small leftovers.
What about this sub, a sub against a kind of gender based discrimination, makes you think it supports THE PATRIARCHY. This kind of sub often critiseses structures that could be seen as patriarchical. Even the video in this post.
Maby stop beeing so ignorant, accept that there are systemic issues affecting men to, and that it should be acceptable to talk about those.
If you belive that Mensrights subs are THE MANOSPHERE, please explain why the fight against systematic mens issues is in anyway harmfull to women or antifeminist.
You are just trolling, because you cant accept that men could have valid Problems...

Patriarchy doesn't promote this because it doesn't exist.Β

How can you be so uneducated...

Don't confuse your pseudoscientific fantasies with education.Β

Like yeah man, I get my patriarchy club membership renewed annually. There's big conferences every year at convention halls across the country where we discuss how we can not only make life harder for women, but make it harder for us men too. That's only fair, right? These gatherings are a lot like anime conventions, comic-cons, etc. You should check one out, they are so fun.
But seriously, stop drinking the pink dumpster juice.

Women would request men to do everything even without the patriarchy. The best gender at keeping the "patriarchy" alive is none other than women.

Lol, Feminism/Matriarchy promotes that women should do everything, especially having a high stress, high earning career, and maybe having kids late in life. Lots of burnout, yet you probably support it. You are digging your own grave here, so stop complaining... π€·ββοΈ
[β]pinkdumpsterjuice -1 points0 points1 point 1 month ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I don't support matriarchy either, but rather the opposite: gender role abolition. I also think women as much as men should work equally, so the children's relationship with their caregivers would be healthy on both sides. But this is my opinion only because humans always have and will always reproduce (to a certain extent), but imo, I think women shouldn't have their kids later in life, they should just stop having them period, and let the human race disappear! And in case you didn't notice the stats, many people are starting to think the same.. Just look at birthrate go down. So pretending that women should stop expecting men to do everything is a pretty egocentric way of thinking.

Here's the thing. I work 50 to 55 hours a week, while my wife does not much, aside from keeping our daughter alive, and even then, she's a rather neglectful parent.
I can not do all the housework and earn a living. So the housework suffers, and it's a mess in here. It's not egocentric, men and women need to work as a team with different but equally important roles is just the realities of life, you sweet summer child.
[β]pinkdumpsterjuice 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You are absolutely right about that! But then, maybe you should ask yourself about your partner choice... because personnally, 90% of women I know are hardworking independent women. So, I don't think gender is the problem here, but rather then men's expectations of a woman. You can't complain your computer won't work well if its an old windows 98. You've got what you paid for... So, maybe you sign up for marriage a little to fast, when in reality, you didn't well the person you where about to spend the rest of your life with!

So a woman shouldn't complain if her husband is lazy and a awful parent?
[β]Wild_Lemon1472 25 points26 points27 points 1 month ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah it's almost like the women demonizing other women for proposing to men just want to hold onto gender roles as long as it benefits them.

I don't have a problem with her message in general. Let people have the relationship that works for them.
She is not a classical beauty. I suspect that she may have to be more assertive than the average person when it coms to a long term commitment.

She is pretty, itβs just the bangs that could be better.
[β]Glad-Way-637 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Do you know why people pick bangs? I've always been sorta confused tbh, it never seems to look very good compared to not having them. Is it just some convenience aspect I'm too bald to understand?
[β]meeralakshmi[S] 6 points7 points8 points 1 month ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have curtain bangs. They can look good if styled the right way.

Okie dokie, I'll take your word for it on that one.
[β]LikeACannibal 2 points3 points4 points 1 month ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It all depends on someoneβs face and how they style them. I personally think they can look really good when done well.

Most people look good when they try a bit.
Average is average for a reason and the reason is being successful enough to spread so far and wide it becomes the norm.

This woman and this woman are the same person.
Sure, Lucy is a character that Carisa plays, but it is an example of a rather normal looking person who can be very glamorous when she chooses to. Even as herself, she can dial it up when she desires.
