Gone girl is about the abject horror and psychopathy inherent to false accusations. Gillian Flynn had to defend her writing by stating that feminism should also allow for the portrayal of complex, "bad" female characters, and not only positive role models.

If it's misandrist, it's only in that it focuses a lot more on the woman's actions than the male victims reaction, and in any case offers an unrealistic portrayal of what actually happens to falsely accused men both internally and externally - the reality is darker than what is presented in the book and the psychological impact far more destructive than that exhibited by Nick Dunne.

You don't need to delve deeper into obscure niches to realize big media idolizes and glorifies misandry

And worst of all, the masses were perfectly programmed by it
