Here, some young man was asked to walk his date home at night and he declined, as he had a bus to catch. Which is fine, because it's not his job to risk his physical safety.

As fairly progressive sub, you'd think that AITA would him NAH, but.... they were pretty condescending towards him.

Personally I don't really see this as misandry. If she ask, why not if you like her. And as some mention in the comments, it would have taken 20 minutes in total, so he would have waited for the bus only a few minutes in the end ..

Because it's not his responsibility? Imagine if it was the other way around, would she be expected to walk home with him? Absolutely not. It would be considered a nice thing for her to do but there would be no expectation for her to do it.
