Remember fellas, this is what a feminist looks like under her mask
[–]ravenwingx 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I wouldn’t say feminist even. It’s so normalized that feminism doesn’t even have to be in the equation

The avatar looks male to me. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if this was a self hating male “feminist”.

Please tell me that's a troll

I’d just ignore them, best case, they’re a troll. Worst case, they’re psychotic. Either way, they’re not worth a response

Good news, they got banned from Reddit

Women attempt suicide more often. They just fail most of the time because when they try to commit suicide it's not about results. It's about getting attention.
Men kill themselves like men. Hence the success rates.
Also, women love to see others in misery, as can be seen by the comments in the post. I think they might be genuinely evil. My opinion of them has really changed since joining reddit.
At this point I don't think there's anything that can happen to a woman that would provoke sympathy in me. Laughter maybe, but not sympathy.

Women attempt suicidal gestures more wich are attempts without the intent to actually kill yourself wich are still counted in the statistics, a lot is also self reported wich really isn't that trustworthy, if you look at attempts solely with the intent to actually kill yourself women attempt it less then men

cmon, don't let your view be tainted by a bunch of anonymous assholes

Anonymity reveals what people are actually like. If they act like this when they aren't afraid of consequences, I think that's all you really need to know about them.

I will remove this comment due to the following statement:
Also, women love to see others in misery, as can be seen by the comments in the post. I think they might be genuinely evil.
These comments and statements you are seeing, as disturbing and common as they might be, are not suitable to draw such general conclusions about the individuals belonging to a demographic. Now, it is true that similar provisions (i.e. "not all ...") are commonly ridiculed, ignored or deliberately doubled down on when demanded for men (e.g. "yes all men", commonly referring to men's proposed responsibility in the matter, not direct perpetration).
Despite this, I do not see a reason for egalitarians to follow that path. It is not accurate, it won't make people - often primed by the myths surrounding egalitarian spaces - to feel more welcome around here and furthermore allows those opposing such efforts to reinforce their mischaracterizations.
Beyond the generalizations, you might want to consider further qualifications in order to more accurately represent trends. Especially the role of the perceived gender of those in misery, the perceived gender of those causing misery and whether the, on average, disproportionate enjoyment of men's misery might be generally shared by men and women alike. I suggest that misandry is actually a deeply rooted societal issue, not a result of women (or men) just being evil.
They just fail most of the time because when they try to commit suicide it's not about results. It's about getting attention.
There might be crucial differences in suicidal intent, which is why the suicide attempt statistic is disputable on the grounds of disagreements regarding what does and/or should qualify as a suicide attempt. One such approach is to look at "serious suicide attempts", which, like suicide, might be more common in men. It is important to note, however, that "seeking attention" does not mean that they are not in desperate need for and/or don't deserve attention/help. You did not claim otherwise, but this seems to be a common misunderstanding.
First of all, I suggest calling them completed or simply suicides instead of successful. Furthermore, "like men" is a phrase that is used to restrict men's freedom, health and well-being whilst shaming them for not adhering to such misandristic restrictions, which reflect and require an undervaluation of men's lives and well-being. And if you are hinting at supposed differences in methods, those did not seem to sufficiently explain the differences in the studies I am aware of and there is evidence hinting at persistent differences in intent and execution within "soft" methods like overdosing.
Exposure to misandry at such levels of severity and frequency provokes extreme emotional reactions and, unfortunately, may eventually lead to feelings of disdain toward those whom one perceives to not be forced endure the atrocity that is misandry (which, of course, is just one type of injustice and suffering). Nonetheless, these emotions should be redirected into civil, constructive advocacy instead of disdain. It is fortunate that those perceived to be women receive the relatively high levels of sympathy and empathy they do. We should strive to extend those to individuals not perceived to be women as well. Rinse and repeat for all types of misandry. I would suggest trying to be empathetic toward everyone. Absence of empathy toward a group is something we identify as a problem in need of attention - and that should not be restricted to a lack of empathy for men.

censor away. If a woman had something similar about men (which they do all the time on reddit) it wouldn't be censored, but I'm used to the double standard. Go for it.

That’s freaking cruel.

well everything is a bell curve or normal distribution
with tens of millions of people in a country, there are a lot who are simply malfunctioning, especially in a socialist economy
try viewing a large group of people as a system, any extreme behavior is simply a statistical guarantee, patterns come and go, structures appear and disappear
but also, slowly growing misbehavior that spreads like a virus is also completely normal
why do you think the history books are so full of misery?
hope this helps
