Hi all,

before you jump to conclusions and judgments, please hear me out: Like many men, I have been mistreated by certain women I shared parts of my past with. So I guess most of you understand how quickly one can get sucked into that RP bubble, right?

I have done a lot of work in terms of introspection and all and figured out that there certainly are issues with the RP community in terms of RP content creators nurturing the distrust in and resentment against women in general, yeah. Then again I must admit that certain MGTOW type of folks really did help me in finding my own path and building my confidence.

Anyway, I now am at a point where I came to realise that I kind of made a transition in several steps that led me to a place where I am kind of stuck. See, I used to be a really nice guy who unfortunately did let women step over him - I guess that's because I was raised to be soft and because I always tried to be compassionate to others. Being myself is something I just discovered after my latest breakup and RP honestly helped a lot in building confidence and developing a mindset of not giving a damn about other people's (and hence women's) opinion on me. Still I came to understand quickly that the RP community is, of course, quite toxic. I always had an issue with the bitterness of many RP folks, but in a way that resonated with me as far as I had both my heart and trust broken over and over again. Won't go into details, but I basically always was serious in my relationships and never broke up with the respective girl myself, but always ended up being the dumpee. With exception to the cases I got cheated on.

Often these breakups happened for no valid reason: Most of them just wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side and either dumped me for somebody else they did like to get to know, or they just outright cheated on me which then, of course, led to the breakup as I am the type of guy that needs a loyal, trustworthy partner.

Which brings us to the very issue: My trust has been violated, over and over and over again. Even by women who knew my story and of the betrayals I experienced, and as it goes, all of them promised to be different but eventually weren't. Which is why the RP got to me in the first place, I guess.

Anyway, now I am kind of stuck because I don't know what to do. See, I already decided to cut out consuming any RP content because I realised that it simply is designed to make you feel resentment and bitterness - something that prevents me from connecting with other girls again. At the same time, entering the dating world again did actually lead to me experiencing all that stuff RP folks talk about:

I am ghosted way more often than just some 5 odd years ago, I feel as if a lot of women are by far more disrespectful than back in the days, and I am quite honestly tired of investing hours trying to truly connect with women if most of the times, I am shut down in pretty audacious ways. It was just within the last week that I had a bunch of bad experiences, like for example: Girl 1 had me book a table at a restaurant, simply did not show up and did not reply to my message on whether everything is alright. Haven't heard from her ever since. Girl 2 I wanted to meet for a casual coffee date, and after two weeks of her being heavily flirty, she told me that meeting for a drink is "too much of an investment". She also mentioned that she first needed to know whether I was actually "relationship material" in her eyes, stating that she would need to get to know me better before taking "huge steps" such as drinking coffee. Which is bizarre, because you can't get to know somebody if you don't meet up. Told her that - got ghosted, of course.

Anyway, there is dozens of stories like this and I want to be honest here: I really do feel as if dating culture is f....ked, big time. And this is a problem, because I do not know how to regain my trust. All I want is to find my Mrs. Right, you see? I miss being with somebody who loves me for who I am, I miss physical touch and all of the awesome things people in relationships can share with their partners. But all I see at this point are the following "options":

1) Accepting that dating culture is f...ked and staying in the RP bubble, which I won't do as I came to understand how much it can change me for the negative.

2) Not engaging in the RP stuff anymore as I do now, but still experiencing exactly what the RP folks keep complaining about all the time. And not having a solution for that.

So that's were I need some help: Can you folks help me out? What to do in such a situation? I'd be grateful for any advice. Thank you in advance.
