"Alpha" and "beta" doesn't exist in wolves and it doesn't exist in people. What people mistake for it are that confidence and self-assurance are attractive. People mistake assholish behavior for being rewarded with female attention, when what is really attracting them is the confidence that assholes often have.

If you can be confident without being an asshole you will have far, far more success than someone relying on redpill bullshit, with the added bonus that you'll feel better about yourself, people will like you, and you won't be leaving human wreckage in your wake.

I’m always kinda confused on alpha behavior. But I’ve always believed that positive masculinity is being able to own who you are.

For example, I’m a proud Disney-esq type guy. I write poems. Sing love songs. All that sappy stuff.

But I don’t do it to present myself as anything. I do it—because I love that stuff. And if another guy had issues about it — we can get into a fight over it, lol. I always assumed alpha was being in charge of your own life. You don’t have to follow the blue prints of other people—just be loyal to your own internal plan.

I’m proud of you for starting to take ownership of your own life. That’s ultimately what matters.

Having the integrity to own who you are combined with the ethics and integrity to exist without malice is a great way to be!

I think "red pill" ideologies turned me into a toxic man. I think a better idea is just having respect for yourself (like you said), knowing what to do look for so you don't get played. There ARE good women out there, they are not all cheaters/liars, just like there are good men out there. Take a chance and let life happen. People who say they are 'alpha' are phonies and are not comfortable with themselves. Real alphas don't have to tell anyone else what they are.

You know someone has a specific trait when others say it for them, not when they beat their own chest and brag about it. Whether they claim to be an “alpha”, a “badass”, a “genius”, etc. Also you’ll notice that people who constantly go out of their way to insult others with the same phrase time and time again (like men constantly calling others betas or saying what a little bitch/pussy they are) are projecting their own insecurities. Calling someone a beta is an ultimate insult in their eyes, to them it’s one of the worst things to be, so they’re constantly worried about looking vulnerable and perceived as one and they try to unnaturally fit into this archetype of what they think masculinity is supposed to be. What easier way to look like an “alpha” by pointing out that someone else is a “beta”. It’s like when people use being single as an insult, they’re horrified about being in that position regardless if it even matters to you or not.

All your efforts should go to yourself. Fill up the tank. Do you think you are going to drive for a week running on fumes? Of course not. From my experience if you don't hold yourself to any value, you are bound to fail.
