The hardest thing about the nice guy at debate, is that when you try to prove you are genuine most people think you're not especially, considering the internet definition and discussions

Like when I hear a woman say that a guy being nice isn't an invitation and he's not entitled that kind of misses the nuance

What if that guy was acting nice to you and is already like that with everybody else.

I get called nice and respectable all the time. My manager's at work keep saying that people are coming out to them and giving me praise and I used to take this in stride but nowadays I feel like it's so empty because of this whole nice guy thing

I've had some successes with women and I've had failures like most men but I also know who I am and I am super sensitive and empathetic. This is where great with some women and this is also turned off a lot of women and I think that's where this whole nice guy thing comes from.

All we can go off of is our actions and previous beliefs but at the end of the interaction how does a woman be able to measure how nice or genuine or respectful of guy is.

so many people including women have thought I was an angry thug before meeting me and the fact that they always tell me that I surprise them kind of makes me wonder if there really is some type of perception that being kind and empathetic is correlated with being weak.

I've also noticed other women usually older women agreeing with this sentiment. They messed around with guys who weren't so great for them and their youth but missed out on Good Men.

My own mother's was dating a guy and they seem to be getting it off but my mom still had a lot of trauma and drama with my stepdad.

And to be fair to my stepdad both he and my mom are mutually abusive so that has a lot to do with it

Right now this is the internet and I bet I am giving off nice guy vibes even giving this conversation but I do still identify with the genuine nice guy because it's just who I am.

Most people act the way they are because of their past and trauma and pain are hard to get over.

I used to have an extreme hatred for my belief but that wasn't until I actually started winning over by bullies and certain things that I started to be empathetic.

But something I noticed as I get older is that some girls probably would have gone for me if I did act like a stereotypical thug or dick as bad as that is to say

But that's more so on this type of women and what they expect more than women as a whole but it's such a stereotype.

My own abusive X went after a string of abuses and she said that she really wants to be with and that makes me very confused because if that was proven why isn't she with me?

Just because you are respectful doesn't mean you will get respect back also.
