So for those of you who don't know what preselection and social proof are: it's pretty much the idea that women like men who are liked by other women. I don't have these studies on me but studies do, in fact, show that a man's attractiveness to women shoots up if women think he is already in a relationship or married.

In real life, most women obviously don't go after married men. But they DO go after men in high social standing and especially men who have a proven track record with women.

I'm a guy with very little experience with women. I'm 20 [M] and while I am not a virgin, I have never been in a serious relationship and I think that is severely impeding my progress.

What I am most frustrated with is this Catch-22 scenario where you need charisma and game to get experience with women but women won't allow you to get experience with them unless you have game to begin with. Kinda like how you need wealth to build wealth. Just like you can't invest if you don't have money to begin with, you can't get experience with girls if you don't have experience to begin with. Women don't give you the time of day if you are awkward with them but you can't get less awkward with them unless they give you the time of day.

I'm wondering your guys' thoughts on this. How real is this phenomenon despite what scientific studies and my personal anecdotal evidence suggest?
