In theory, physical touch is supposed to be acts of intimacy like cuddling, hand holding, massages, gentle touches, etc.
In practice, when men say "my love language is physical touch" what they really mean is "I expect you to fuck me like a pornstar multiple times per day and if you don't, then you're the bad guy for failing to cater to my nEeDs"

I think they mean thoughtful gifts. I can’t imagine anyone likes receiving things they don’t like. People who like receiving gifts like knowing that their loved one knows them well enough to get them something they like or listen to them about things they want.

Yes! Two weeks ago my SO gave me an amazing gift. I squealed when he gave it to me and he smiled really big and said “I knew you’d love it!” It was unexpected and still makes me smile.
It’s a blanket. A lighter weight cotton blanket. He knew I’d love it because I’ve calling the couch my “office” during this stay-at-home stuff and love being under blankets. This one won’t stifle me as it gets warmer. It’s not all about the blanket, it’s that he knows I enjoy hunkering down in a blanket and soon it will be too hot.

What if your love language is all of them?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah I want ALL of it! I like to show love in all of the languages and I expect the same. Although I stopped giving love since I don’t get it back in a way I want

Yeah it’s really hard tbh. I like to believe I shouldn’t settle for what’s not making me happy. I’m not saying I expect someone to change for me but I know if someone I was seeing asked to do X Y aid make an effort.
