Being "the main" to a guy like this is not an accolade, nor is it a reflection on you if you find out you're only the side chick. The main will be whoever is most convenient for him:

She lives closer / his parents have already met her so he has to pretend they're in a serious relationship / she's more submissive so he knows he gets his way easier with her / she pays for dates / he sees her as dependable because he feels like she's LV and has no better options so she can't leave him. The list goes on.

What being the main does NOT mean:

He's more serious about you than the other women / you're prettier or in any way worth more than the other women / you should stick around waiting for him to dump the other women, because he'll always have a roster, because it's great for him.
