It's a great book and a great TED Talk. Just don't confuse having the courage to be vulnerable with making yourself a walking target. Brene wants you to be brave and honest in your own best interests, which do not include buying anyone a PS5.

I have read every Brene Brown book, some of them multiple times.

Her work on overcoming shame is absolutely incredible. She definitely DOES NOT advocate for being a pushover, and very much a proponent of holding your boundaries even when it’s hard.
