I did get one guy message me saying “You’re old as hell and you look it too!” And I’m young and look young too, but it did sting

They send stuff like that because they want you, know they can't have you, and want to knock your self esteem down to their level.

Guys like that only pretend to have high standards. They quickly throw those out the window if a woman who doesn't meet them shows interest. (Unrelated but that's exactly why FDS advocates against making the first move)

Men are desperate for attention. And they know that people focus on negative comments more, so this is these psychopaths’ way of sticking out.

And btw the answer is yes. I get many negative comments on IG and got ratio’d on Twitter at least hundreds of times. 😂

Every girl who posts pics of herself on the Internet gets them eventually. They come from an online anti-woman hate group called Incels. They openly brag about sending hate mail to women in the hopes of doing exactly that, making them feel bad and messing with their self esteem.

Unfortunately that's just the tip of the iceberg of what Incels get up to. The group has already spawned at least three mass-shooters, including the Isla Vista Killer, Elliot Rodgers.

I recommend visiting r/IncelTears it's a watchdog subreddit keeping tabs on the Incel movement, and re-posts the awful things they do and say, to spread awareness of them.

Some men are just crazy and thrive off the idea of getting replies and attention from women they trash online. I’ve seen a few women fitstragram coaches post the weird DMs they get from random men. One guy was projecting so hard. His message was something along the lines of “You’re so stuck up! I bet you would never talk to an average guy like me and you choose hot guys that treat you badly.” Ok Jake from Montana, that’s an oddly specific trashy thing to say to a stranger you’ve never spoken to before.

A man commented “Woah stop DMing me! I’m married!” on a model’s page. She replied and embarrassed him saying she never messaged him and he’s going to get blocked for making shit up. They’re so delusional. He must have wanted to make his wife jealous or something.

I used to get weird hate mail when I was younger but I amped up all my privacy settings to stop it.

this is the online equivalent of men who go to strip clubs just to reject women they don't get a chance with, ignore and carry on (easier said than done i know)

They see something that they want, and can’t have. So then their bitterness fuels their attempt to knock you down a peg. That’s all.

I have an Instagram for my business and while there are some creeps, they usually only compliment me and my models. The only times I've been told negative things were when I commented something "controversial" on FB or IG. And even then, they were mostly not even attacking how I look like.

I barely use social media, but I love learning languages and I used several language exchange websites several years ago.

You would be surprised by the amount of hate or negging DMs I received (and some lame scam attemps). Consider those men as mentally ill. Ignore them as you would ignore the random crazy drunk on the subway.

it's possible that these empty accounts are the same men who admire you. anonymously they knock your self esteem down and then on their real account they will try to comfort you. so they are negging you indirectly.

also there are many men who don't have the courage to insult you openly so they hide behind anonymity.
