I always feel like I owe people. If a man does something nice for me, I am afraid he will cheat on me if i don't parent him, give back and cater to his wishes. As a child, I was made to feel guilty about being alive, literally. I'm in therapy now but it's a slow process. Currently I'm with a great guy who just naturally stops putting effort because I'm always two steps forward ready to please him. He is definitely starting to take me for granted and I don't know how to ensure he stays invested. Maybe I should stop texting back fast? Stop cooking for him? Get rid of the fear he will cheat if I don't go on with my pleasing? My therapist tells me that I'm levels above any guy I've ever dated, but that I equalize myself because of my non existent self esteem. I do think I'm great looking, funny and smart, but how do I make others see that? Thanks to anyone
