I’ve known for about 18 months my soon to be ex husband has been using meth. I had no proof til 8/20 when I searched his truck while he was at work and found the paraphernalia. He cried and said he’d get help, he would do anything to keep me and the kids (4 and 7). Well, obviously never went to therapy or treatment. A few weeks later I caught him talking to dozens of chicks of various apps, pics, sexting, videos. Again, cried and said he’d get help. And again, he didn’t do anything. Well, he did get a 2nd phone to hide those apps from me but I found it again, talking to even more women. And this time, he took it to the real world and was seeing some chick in town when he said he was getting food/pull ups, working later, car broke down etc etc etc. Every time he was with this girl instead. Some chick with no job, no phone, no tv, no car, mommy and daddy pay for her one room shack. While I just got my degree in 2020, am working in my field of study, pay all the bills and have really improved my financial standing.

Then two weeks ago, I found another used meth pipe. Idiot said it was to remind me to stay clean LOL!!!!! Caught him at this girls house every single day, stupid shit like getting a lighter, bringing her books she left in his truck, just talking whatever.

I then received a call from his work he had been calling in for two weeks and he was fired so I should let him know not to come in anymore. I found him using at his uncles house with his little girlfriend. He threw me down the stairs so I called the police and turned in his paraphernalia. He was arrested for a domestic and a restraining order was put in place. He kept texting me apologizing but I’ve had enough.

So today, I find out he was arrested for a DWI, when he was supposed to be visiting our kids in a visitation center. So my kids were pulled from school for nothing because he obviously never showed up. In less than a week, he’s been locked up twice.

Divorce papers are in the works. Our kids are struggling immensely. I realized the only thing standing between him and rock bottom was me but I cannot play that role and take proper care of our children’s mental health from all the horrible things he has put them through. It’s done. Time to move on. Wish me luck!
