Start with yourself. Are you co dependent and/or have low self esteem? When we are broken we attract broken and the cycle continues until we heal. Maybe think about going to therapy and doing some self care.

Please read whole again by Jackson McKenzie first and then read Why does he do that & Should I stay or should I go by Lundy Bancroft.

Read books about setting boundaries.

I am a total Pollyanna "everyone is good at their core" type of person. And unfortunately I would swing back and forth between "everyone is good and I should have no boundaries" to getting fucked over and going "you know what, no, fuck everyone." Only to swing back and forth, being confused about how the world worked.

And then I learned to set boundaries. And recognize toxic people before they fucked me over. And I learned who it's safe to be pure hearted around. I didn't have to change my whole world view I just had to understand it in a more realistic way.

Hey sis. You are me and I am you. Honestly, your post almost made me cry.

I didn’t realize that my self esteem was through the floor until I started going to therapy earlier this year. I believe that this has kept me in bad relationships with piss poor men who were just as broken as I am (if not more). Sitting across from someone and telling them how much I dislike myself is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m hopeful for the future though. Please go talk to a professional about how you are feeling.
