This was my life with my NVM ex. Thank goodness we only lived together for a year and were never married.

When I kicked him out, I had less chores to do and much less resentment around doing them. There was a new kind of peace in my house. It's certainly not perfectly clean, but any messes these days are mine and mine alone.

This is my honest to god greatest fear about marriage/kids. I'm in academia so WFH is normal, but that doesn't mean I don't have a shitload of work to do. As it stands, my friends/family think I'm just constantly on vacation and shit.
