Through grade school, I always had guy friends. I surprisingly wasn’t a cool girl and was considered the bitchy friend most of the time because I would call men out, but this didn’t stop them from running their mouths and letting me know how they truly felt about women. I was a pickme in other ways, specifically dating, because I was a romantic but my male friends quickly kicked that out of me.

One friend I dumped last year was actually an ex of mine who was particular attractive and actually used to be a model. He later gained a lot of weight and let himself when he got complacent in our relationship. He was the straw that hit the camels back and made me realize having sex with men early on is naive and extremely dumb. He was a liberal so I thought his prosex/sexwork attitude meant he respected women and saw them as humans capable of having a sexuality. Boy was I wrong.

Out of all my exes he was the most misogynistic/sexist. He would vale this by speaking highly of women who put out, while simultaneously showing more interest and respect in women who didn’t. He would also get angry and manipulative if they didn’t put out in three dates which he did to me in the early days of our relationship. Anyone who didn’t put out quick enough he would call a bitch prude, stuck up, etc.

He saw dating as a numbers game. Despite his end goal being a relationship because he was naturally a romantic, he would date women he would care less about because at least he was getting laid. To him, paying $80 for a date was worth it for the sex he would get later that night. He would also bench women he didn’t deem as attractive enough and start doing low effort dates after the third date.

This man was textbook LVM. everything FDS talks about. I could have easily avoided this porn addicted, alcoholic, unambitious man, if I had known the signs. Being his friend really let me understand how men think and because of that I became more ruthless in dating. Men do not have your best interests at heart. To them, dating is all about getting in your pants. If they happen to like you as well, they think it’s a privilege to be given the girlfriend title.

This doesn’t mean they’ll treat you any better. They’ll still expect you to perform like a porn star in bed. They’ll still bitch about you to their friends if you don’t play the cool girl. They’ll still ogle other women and comment on their bodies to get a reaction out of you. You gain nothing from becoming the esteemed girlfriend of an NVM/LVM.
