I have two long term romantic partners (boyfriend of almost 5 years, husband of 3 1/2 years, six months married) and it's amazing how many people think that means I am going to just squeeze them in as a casual sexual partner. No, I have dedicated partners who are both monogamous, by choice. It isn't polyamory exactly and it isn't sexually based, sex is just a part of the overall intimacy. I'm not going to add in Travis from Tinder just because he likes my tattoos and I remind him of the goth girlfriend he couldn't get in high school. If I already have two men I love and cherish, it is going to take a lot for me to add in another man or woman to a situation that is already working so well.
