How do you know if he’s consciously trying to make you jealous?

Making it OBVIOUS he’s looking at every breast and ass in sight when out with you (attempting to make you feel you have competition- when it’s actually going to make you snippety snip him off for the audacity)
Opening notifications from other women in plain SIGHT and sniggering /gaslighting when you address it (blatantly trying to bother you)
Negging you on the low and constantly bigging up his ex, or talking about what other pornsick moves pickmeisha’s do to apply pressure (wants you to feel theres sooo much competition Zzz)
Staring you up and down trying to make you self conscious and picking on micro flaws ‘have you plucked your brows today? (resents your confidence- trying to lower it somehow)
Talking about other female friends constantly to try make you feel threatened (probs cos he’s cheating /insecure after arguments - often his Pickmeisha rebounds on standby)

These are all signs he WANTS you to have an emotional reaction and break your esteem down. He absolutely is doing it deliberately and isn’t scared to offend/lose you- no shame.

He’s projecting his insecurities, trying to get you to chase his approval like a low esteem Pickmeisha or make himself feel higher value than he is.

Do not respond with jealousy - simply put his ass in check.

Signs of a LVM actively trying to make you jealous:

He tells you things to make you jealous, like going into detail about other women in his life, other women who want him/flirts with him, or past experiences. Most likely he thinks it will make him seem more wanted, and thus make you want him more. He might tell you about them in an excited tone, or a disgusted tone. Neither are good.
Doesn’t want to give up information about where he is/what he’s doing/who he’s with in perfectly normal settings. He’s trying to get you to “work” (beg) for his attention.
Doesn’t tell you anecdotal stories or any details of nights out.
Doesn’t answer his phone or texts for an unreasonably long time, and then possibly excuses it with “was with a friend”.
His friends mention other women in relation to him, and he reacts in an unreasonable manner (smirking, enthusiastic “fake” anger, watching your reaction (possibly even while smirking)).

Basically he wants you to know he has options, or wants you to imagine/create them in your own mind.

HVM will be more calm, often volunteer information if asked, but not try to rub your face in it. They’ll shut flirting down respectfully if committed to someone, and not see it as a big deal (ego boost). More of a “have nothing to hide” type energy. Will include you in their life instead of trying to keep you out of it/parts of it. If there’s parts you have not been invited into yet he will openly explain why instead of revelling in the fact that you’re curious and use this to make you feel insecure and possibly jealous. I’ve dated a few LVMs, but lucky to have found a HVM to share my life with now.

Edit to add: if he’s trying to make you jealous by talking about women he is attracted to, possibly celebrities or friends, and goes into detail about why he is attracted to them/what he likes about their bodies/faces, without being asked, and possibly also reminding you of it from time to time etc that’s a whole other thing. Especially if it’s traits that you know you don’t have, and can’t change (so not just “I really like her hairstyle” or even “I like how her arms are strong”). That is not just him trying to make you jealous, that’s him telling you you’re not what he wants.
