No, this was 30 years ago and I was broker than broke. I couldn’t have afforded a cab. I was living with 4 guys at the time, once he brought me back I knew I was safe because those guys would have my back.

I never let my new dates to pick a place without my approval. I have to make sure first that it's convenient for me to get there, that it has a good parking, that it's not a dirty, smelly hole in the wall, that it's quiet enough to have a conversation and that it has good reviews. If I don't like it, I suggest a place I already familiar with.
