Just want to preface this and say I’m not trying to shift blame here, I take responsibility for my own life and dating. I’m just so confused and exhausted!

Maybe I just need to read the handbook again, but also just need to get this off my chest now so I can stop thinking about it.

I just feel like everything can be so conflicting sometimes. Like, I try to follow FDS rules, but then I’m also so disheartened that I’ve made too many mistakes, I’m too old, there’s no good men, there’s no hope, and I just feel like giving up!

I started to read “why men don’t love women like you” and it made me realise how I’ve devalued myself throughout my dating life. But also I feel like so much advice is conflicting too.

Don’t sleep with a man for 3 months, yet fuck boys can wait for 3 months and will still ditch you after they’ve “won”, and I waited six months with an ex boyfriend who was obsessed with so many other women, to the point of staring and ignoring me in public.

It’s all in your mindset how you see the world and men, and if you keep getting cheated on it’s because you believe all men cheat.

Men don’t love like women, yet we are supposed to make sure they love us... but they will always want to cheat.

Tell a man you want something serious upfront, but also don’t because he might play you anyway and pretend he does to get “relationship benefits”, but also if you say you want something less serious or you don’t care about settling down, he will chase you more and want you more, but actually he will think you’re “easy” and won’t want you for something serious.

Men will use you as a “placeholder” relationship if they sense you want commitment, and leave for their dreamgirl who they will properly commit to... yet, men don’t settle down or really commit until the “time” in his life I.e. his friends are settled, or his life is in order...

But also LVM will treat anyone like rubbish and it doesn’t matter who you are, but apparently they will change for the “right” woman, and you have to prove you’re worthy of that... except you don’t have to prove anything because you’re the prize.

I just feel like my head is spinning and I’d rather just be a spinster!

But then that could also be me being a “loser” in life and not making a decisions and just dipping out so I don’t get hurt...

But then how many good men are there really out there. Ugh. I’m tired.
