I just recently got a gift I think is ugly. I play tabletop games and my hubby got me dice. I had shown his the exact ones I wanted, he didnt get those. He got me yellow gold trimmed ones, he knows full well I hate yellow gold. I didnt say shit and I still felt upset with myself. Wow, I need to get better because there is nothing wrong with preferences.

I saw this thread and the number of people saying the post is awful or talking about how much they love their heart shaped necklace from Jared BECAUSE their bf gave it to them made me so sad. These are the same girls who will say it’s not money it’s effort while praising acts that take neither. If you want to settle for a cheap generic ugly necklace in place of a gift and think that its cute to have netflix and leftovers in place of a date that’s on you but don’t shame me for valuing myself and my time too much to accept bs stand-ins.
