I had this moment the other day. I was raised with dad taking care of everything and making decisions and my mom didn’t work. He wasn’t controlling but when it came to house stuff or landscaping or new cars it was all him. Husband and I own a house and I really wanted a fenced in yard and he didn’t. I was bummed and then I was like wtf this is my house too. We keep finances totally separate for various reasons, but I had an realization that I could call the fence people myself and pay for it myself. So that’s what I’m doing.
