I definitely recommend Brené Brown for those who have not seen her. She has multiples tedtalks and other speaking engagements are she is an absolute joy to listen to.

As I was reading this I was thinking about work. I'm asked to take on more and more and more. I've tried to say it's too much and I've been told "everyone before you managed, why can't you?"

I was staying late to finish up work. My manager wouldn't listen when I told her that previous people haven't had a specific project I have this year to support setting up a new system. I had to take a month off work for depression and now we're in a restructure so I'm scared for my job. I just agree to more because if I don't, I could be cut.

By the time I get to the end of the day I'm drained, mentally and emotionally and I feel sluggish. All I want to do is be outside exercising or sleep, I haven't been able to face applying for new jobs.

So how to keep boundaries high at work? I need to preserve energy for myself and my goals but I'm struggling. Any thoughts or pearls of wisdom from fellow FDSrs?
