Sisters, there is so much more I need to learn!

But first, let me tell you my story:

I used to be a pickmeisha into my early 20s (currently 26) who believed in the indoctrination that you are not a complete person without a husband or at least a boyfriend and you had to share all of his struggles and bills but keep yours to yourself in order to have a man respect you.

I was an idiot!

Yes, guys always were attracted to me. I even had a reputation for being financially independent while still a compassionate girlfriend, but wouldn't put up with lies and cheating. Some guys were even scared off by the latter, which is...interesting. LVM flocked to me like feathers on a bird and those who were scared off - bottom of the barrel to say the least.

HVM avoided me like the plague and if I ever was fortunate enough to score a date with one, they treated me like a doormat. I thought they were the bad ones, not realizing that they treated me like a doormat because that's what I was.

I was a partygirl, always drunk, often high on God knows what and always heartbroken.

I've wasted to much time and energy and so many tears believing I was leftovers and I would be lucky if ever a guy wanted to have me around long enough to maybe feel wanted.

Well, look at me now:

I run my own business and I'm sober. Being alone doesn't scare me anymore, I actually enjoy me-time and I realized that I don't have to entertain anyone. I used to be a drama queen, now I'm annoyed with myself when I get dramatic.

I cut toxic and dramatic people out in a heartbeat. Can't be bothered with that anymore.

My house? My car? My bills? Paid.

My business? Sailing smoothly and growing (might even have to hire multiple people this year)

My relationship status? I am in a dating relationship currently.

He is dumbfounded, even slightly upset whenever I pay for something I bought when we're out. I get messages all the time. First thing when he wakes up and last thing when he goes to sleep? Messages to me (I know his schedule, it matches up)

You know those giant stuffed bears every girl on Instagram poses with? He bought me one for Christmas just because I mentioned I liked them. (I didn't want one, but we first met in December so I'm not disappointed)

He doesn't pressure me into anything and follows my lead in regards to next steps in a relationship.

He's currently pursuing a degree in a high-paying field and had a 10 year military career before.

I'm glad this one fell into my lap right before his 30th birthday next week, when the leftover pickmeishas become desperate to get a married and the guys want to settle down.

I'm not sure yet, but I might consider him a HVM.

But don't worry, I won't get to excited until there is a ring on my finger.

This is my story. I hope you enjoyed it.
