Im honestly just coming to accept this myself. I’ve been identifying as a lesbian and denying my attraction to (still only a few) men because I’m usually extremely turned off by their personality, outlook, and general demeanor. I don’t like them, and I don’t want to be, but my body is still attracted to them.

It’s hard to pinpoint. It’s not always that I don’t like them as people, but more that I just don’t connect with them.
I probably/definitely have developed some stereotypes and generalizations of men, and I recognize that I need to work on that, but also I haven’t had many experiences that prove me wrong... I’m in university, and being surrounded by frat boys for the past four years probably hasn’t helped.
A few examples of issues I have (obviously doesn’t apply to all, just some of the most common ones I experience):
***I don’t want to be immediately sexualized, especially as, “you like girls? Hot.”
I’m not competitive, and just don’t understand/like the hype of sports culture
Dating apps have revealed that most guys just want sex, and the more (ahem) creative ones have strategies and tricks to manipulate and seduce women with little to no actual interest/sincerity (there are girls who do the same thing, they suck too)
I appreciate deep, meaningful connections, and girls just tend to be more emotionally understanding and receptive, be it because of society or biology

I know that’s what what I said sounds like, but I mean more specifically in a dating/relationship sense. I don’t just straight up hate men, that’s silly. We’re all humans, all just people. I’ve had plenty of great guy friends. I just usually don’t really connect with them like I do girls I guess.
Like I like them as people, and may even be sexually attracted to them, but don’t feel that romantic attraction.
I don’t know if that makes sense. I’m still figuring it out myself.
Then there’s trying to separate my frustrations with the patriarchy from my opinion of everyday men, which I’ve definitely been struggling with but am working on.

I'm bi, but i def get where she's coming from. Guys are usually a lot less emotionally aware than girls and it gets annoying having to explain why what they did hurt you time and time again. Not every guy is like that but a lot of them are.

I was actually referring to that too lol. It’s also definitely discouraging watching the relationships of people around me and constantly seeing the girls being the only ones who seems to care while the guy is just kinda there
