Oh, that's precious. Mate there rewriting history and acting like having a wife wasn't a key requirement for men to achieve greatness throughout history.

Greatness like Einstein and Tolstoy was possible because they could focus all their time and energy 100% on their work and nothing else. They had wives to do everything else, including doing secretary/personal assistant work, taking on even a portion of his work in addition to hers.

Men who were not married either relied on a female relative to pick up the work, like Nietzsche relied on his sister to manage his household, or they had to employ someone which was a financial strain. Kant had a male servant and a cook to keep him fed, clothed and organized.

Mate there needs to pick up a few biographies of "men who have achieved greatness throughout history" instead of relying on his imagination when talking about what life was like back then.

They did not achieve greatness despite being married, they achieved greatness because their wives made it possible for them to focus exclusively on their work.

But the days of women being the invisible helper in the background are over, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

This reminds me of the many threads I’ve red of married middle aged with children going back to med school or law school- leaving their wife often alone to deal with childcare, house care and her job on her own. Issa a no from me.

That's so true in many cases. I never considered a relationship with the right person a burden, but my ex smeared married guys or those in committed relationships.

He said it was too much to be married and have a job🤔. Apparently the responsibility is so great that you have to pick. This is how he justified being abusive because he wasn't "ready" yet. How many women have been used and thrown away with that logic?

Even though bad relationships distract you and good ones encourage you, it's obvious how men have been conditioned to put themselves first.
