I have previously bought into the mistake of not wanting to be thought of as a goldfish.

My previous ex offered to buy me a bike, buy me an extra phone, and buy me expensive make up I wanted to try. I said no because I wanted him to think I liked him for him instead of what he could give me.

The lesson I've learned is that if I had said yes, he would have felt more invested in staying with me. I should have just let him spoil me because he wanted to express love and appreciation that way. He already knew that I liked him.

And even if things still didn't work out, I would have had a new bike, a new phone and extra make up.

I always ask what happened in their last relationship, this is definitely a tell all and get ready to accept he will do the same to you.

Ex GF was:

“Needy”: he will neglect you.

“Easily upset” : he will not take responsibility and will often let you down.

“Disrespectful”: if she protested in anyway or criticized him in a way to let him know somethings wrong, he makes it clear its his way or she’s being “rude”

I will edit this later when I have more time to add more bullets but you probably already catch my drift.

I got jealous easily and became violent during heated arguments. Backstory: he’s a narcissist and I should’ve left after the first few months. Ended up staying around for 7 years. I became a person I didn’t recognize. He was the only man I’ve ever been in love with that I dated. Our relationship was terribly toxic. 😒 It changed me as a person.
