I read a recent post about why we don’t clap back and I absolutely agree with it.

I really wish I found this sub months ago. pre fds, I was able to muster the courage to go no contact after LVM ignored me for three days. He decided to finally reach out after the third day, probably bc in some way way shape or form I let him know that I tolerated that behavior and would respond, but I didn’t. He kept calling and reaching out but no answer on my end.

Until one day I called him to provide “closure”. The closure was nothing but a bunch of fluff and lies to not make the situation seem like what it is and hurt his feelings - that I didn’t appreciate him treating me like shit and I’m not here for it, fuck off - instead I told him I needed some time and that feelings came up that I needed to work on. I then preceded to send him a msg saying I hope we talk again in the future.

truth is I don’t plan to see or talk to him ever again. not a clapback but I was weak. i feel like I gave the same impression that I’m a weak and insecure little girl that the clapback would and I wish I woulda just remained no contact. he probably tells his boys or whoever that I caught feelings and couldn’t control them knowing it was a FWB situation [ughh I know pre-fds bullshit] but in actuality he is beneath me and he’s shown me he ain’t shit.

I basically lied and made it seem like I was the problem to preserve his feelings instead of telling him how I truly felt or simply just ignoring him.

but the more you know ig. when you know better ya do better.
