You should be proud for being strong and realistic about relationships. As women we are so much better off not getting attached to men. I’m older than you and can tell you that many if not most of my girlfriends went through hell with guys and were in 20 year marriages with them (divorced now) and are now trying to find themselves. Unfortunately they are immediately looking for another man whereas I have been more or less single for 8-9 years. My friends were doormats and have had a very hard time trusting men now but they are settling which I refuse to do. I check a lot of boxes too, men are just scared. They are intimidated by strong, intelligent, attractive women. Never lower yourself for them. Look at your friends and realize that in most cases, men are a liability, not an asset. Being single and free is a great thing. I would love to meet a good man but as I said, my standards are high so that means I might never find one - and I’m okay with that.
