You've got to be firm. Say no and leave it at that. I've been there unfortunately. If they persist then I would report them to HR and start a formal grievance process. I was stalked by an old LVM in 2013 when I was working as a civil servant. I went straight to management and he got the sack. You have a right to a peaceful working environment. These men are predators. They only want to take advantage of you but I think you do know that. At least you are free of that NVM ex.

Look up "grey rock" it's a strategy to become as uninteresting as possible. Usually it's used for narcs but it works on men really well.

Never smile, don't engage beyond one word answers or the minimum needed to do your job, don't ever laugh at their jokes, don't share anything personal, make minimal or zero eye contact.

I would immediately block any advances, so anything that seems a little tooo nice or tooo friendly, don't wait for them to completely ask you out. Be firm and try not to placate to being too nice, because they'll think they still have a chance. Alternatively, it might not be the best way to handle it but you could say you are in a serious relationship and that will sometimes stop a lot of men and you'll never have to lie about it to them again.

Not giving a rats rear end about how an older pervert thinks or feels. Older men KNOW that it's morally wrong to date a teenager but they try anyway because women their age see past their crap. Be firm and don't be friendly with them. They perceive friendly and polite as flirting. I've threatened to report people and felt no shame. Don't like me? Now I'm a bitch? good. Predators deserve punishment.

A few years ago when I was in a lower position (if you are climbing up the hierarchy men usually tend to get scared and stop to harass you) I had a similar experience. At first it was fun because he used to do a lot of work for me to get my attention but it got worse and he started to e.g. follow me to my car after work and asked me for dates. I always denied friendly. After some weeks I just told him in a harsh but not primitive way, that if he won’t stop this behavior immediately I am going to report him for harassing me. He then stopped to act like that. If they are still friendly of course it’s hard. They always will telll that they only wanted “to be nice” so try to get evidence to have something in your hand if you want to report them 💓
